Steel Supplements

A supplement brand and store built to support fitness and wellbeing

Key outcomes

  • Launched the mobile store on schedule, ahead of an important sales period
  • Kept post-launch problems low through careful testing before release
  • Made the buying process simpler, so fewer customers left before completing a purchase

The problem

Steel Supplements wanted more than an online shop. The brand set out to sell carefully made supplements and, at the same time, teach customers how their bodies work, so that people could choose products with confidence rather than guesswork. That meant the mobile application had to carry the product range, the ordering process, and a growing library of educational material, and still feel simple to use.

What I did

  • Separated the shop from the education. I broke the brand’s ideas into a working plan that kept the two sides apart, so each could be built and tested on its own.
  • Kept the application and the service behind it in step, so the catalogue, the content, and the ordering always matched between the iOS application and the Laravel service.
  • Ran the plan through Monday.com, tracking progress and giving the client a clear view of where things stood at any point.
  • Stayed close through every release, sorting out questions early so that small issues never grew into large ones.

Why it was tricky

Selling health products carries a duty to be accurate. The educational material had to be clear and responsible, the product information had to be right, and the ordering process had to work smoothly every time. Holding all three to a high standard, inside one application, was the real test.

How it turned out

The application and its supporting platform were delivered and released. The brand is live at steelsupplements.com, where customers can learn about the products, read the research based education, and place their orders.

  • Full testing of the buying process
  • Payment and checkout confirmed
  • Product information checked
  • A plan to undo the launch if needed

  • Final checks before going live
  • Make the store available
  • Watch for early problems

After launch

  • Close support during the sales period
  • Review how the launch went
